Service Description

Mini Orange Tennis is the next step in a young player’s tennis journey. Played on a slightly larger court with low-compression orange balls, this stage helps children continue developing their rallying, serving, and match-play skills while still enjoying a game that is perfectly scaled to their size and ability. Designed for ages 8–9 Mini Orange encourages players to build on the foundations learned at Mini Red. Children will work on technique, movement, and tactical awareness, giving them the confidence to play longer rallies and start competing in fun, friendly matches. For some children, particularly those new to tennis, it may be recommended to begin with Mini Red before progressing to Orange, ensuring that core skills are established in a supportive and enjoyable way. Mini Green Tennis is the final stage before children move on to the full-sized game. Played on a full court with slightly softer green balls, it provides the ideal bridge between Mini Tennis and the standard yellow ball game. Designed for ages 9–10 (or newer 11 year olds to fully grasp the game and skills) Mini Green helps players refine their technique, improve consistency, and develop more advanced tactics. The softer balls allow for longer rallies and greater control, giving children the chance to grow their confidence before transitioning fully to yellow ball tennis. This stage is all about preparing players for the challenges of the full game while keeping the focus on fun, learning, and enjoyment of tennis. It may be beneficial for some children to develop their skills further in green before moving to full yellow ball!
