Service Description
Orange & Green Junior Tennis Group Saturday | 11:00am-12:00pm (1 Hour Session) Hill & Valley Tennis Club Our Orange & Green joint session is designed for developing players who are ready for the next stage of their junior Tennis journey. This extended 60-minute session allows for deeper technical development, more detailed tactical learning and increased matchplay opportunities — all delivered in a fun, supportive and challenging environment. What to Expect 🎾 Stronger Technical Foundations With players progressing through the Mini Tennis pathway, there is a greater focus on refining technique. Over the full hour, we work on: Controlled and consistent forehands and backhands Serve development, rhythm and accuracy Improved footwork patterns and recovery positioning Developing spin, height and directional control Technical points are clear and age-appropriate, with repetition built into realistic rally and point-based exercises. 🎾 Game-Based Learning with Purpose Sessions maintain an engaging, games-based feel, but with greater tactical awareness. Players will explore: Constructing points with intention Changing direction effectively Recognising short balls and defensive situations Decision-making under pressure The extra time allows players to better understand how technique links directly to match situations. 🎾 Structured & Competitive Matchplay Matchplay is a key part of this session. Players will take part in: Conditioned point play Tie-break and short-set formats Rotational singles and doubles Scoring practice and pre-match routines This helps develop resilience, competitive confidence and a clearer understanding of how to manage matches. 🎾 Mini Tennis Progression Orange Ball – Building consistency, tactical awareness and full-court movement on the orange court. Green Ball – Transitioning towards full-court tennis with increased emphasis on control, spin and strategy. Players will be guided carefully through this important transition stage, preparing them for yellow ball tennis. Pathway Opportunities Dedicated and talented players may be invited to attend additional development sessions and could progress towards our Performance Programme, where training intensity and competitive opportunities increase further. This session is ideal for players ready to focus, improve their technique and embrace matchplay challenges — all within a positive and motivating environment. We look forward to seeing you on court! 🎾
